Features
The Cotyledon genus encompasses a large number of species of succulents, most native to South Africa but some species found as far north as the Arabian Peninsula. Though they vary species to species in appearance, all are shrub-like succulents with masses of plump leaves and woody stems. Most also produce tube-shaped flowers. Some species of Cotyledon have their active growing season in the summer, others lose their leaves in the summer and grow in the winter.
Uses
Perfect for all kinds of containers. Globular shapes and spiny texture give these cacti a modern, sculptural appeal. Likes lots of sunlight. A south or west-facing window is ideal.
