Features
The domino cactus, also known as the Easter lily cactus or the night blooming hedgehog, is a native of Bolivia and famous for its sweet-smelling white blossoms. The blooms grow in a funnel shape up to nine inches (22 cm) long. Though this cactus will bloom again and again from spring through the summer, each individual flower lasts in its full beauty for one day. It will open in the morning, stay open and perfumed for 24 hours, then begin to die back.
Potted Echinopsis can be grown outdoors in the summer and brought back inside when temperatures are expected to fall below 50 degrees F (10 degrees C). Can be grown outdoors year-round in frost-free climates, in a pot or in the ground.
