Features
This little gem was first introduced as an orange around 1942. A cross between a Minneola tangelo and a Clementine mandarin it’s considered one of the very best mandarin varieties available. The moderately pebbled peel zips off easily exposing rich, sweet fruit. Mandarin trees are smaller than standard orange trees and are ideal for small space gardens or containers. The attractive glossy foliage adds a tropical feel to any setting.
Uses
Utilize citrus trees in the landscape just like any ornamental tree. Give enough space that light is available from all sides, away from the shade of larger trees or buildings. A great plant for large patio containers where the fragrant flowers can be enjoyed and the fruit easily picked. Can also be grown indoors if space and ample sunlight can be provided.
