Features
The Pachyphytum species, or moonstones as some of them are known, are natives of Mexico and come in a variety of colors and sizes. The Greek name of this genus, which translates to “thick plant,” describes the stout leaves that make up the colorful rosettes that mark these species. The leaves stand in contrast to the succulents’ flowers, which bloom at the end of thin and graceful stems.
Uses
Unique and colorful foliage and flowers give these plants an artistic, sculptural appeal. Great in all kinds of containers, dish gardens, and terrariums. Makes a perfect gift plant.
