Features
Pothos is one of the easiest plants around for growing indoors. This is a great plant to give as a gift and it’s a good choice for anyone inexperienced with houseplants. The vibrant gold and green foliage adds a relaxed, natural feeling to any room. The vines can get quite long over time so don’t be afraid to prune the plant to keep it contained. Pruning also encourages new side shoots to form that keep the plant bushy and full.
Caution: Pothos plants contain a compound called calcium oxalate that can be toxic to cats, dogs, and people. Calcium oxalate crystals irritate the mouth and stomach if ingested, leading to symptoms such as swelling, pain, and digestive problems.
Uses
Looks great grown in containers and hanging baskets. A terrific plant for tall plant stands where the trailing foliage will create a cascade of foliage over time.
