Features
The tree like form of the benjamina species makes it a perfect choice for bringing a bit of forest into the house! A crown of glossy, deep green foliage and a smooth, tan trunk make it striking enough to be displayed on its own, but also well-suited to mixing with other houseplants. Some leaf drop during adjustment to a new location is common with this species.
Caution: Ficus plants contain a chemical called saponin that is toxic to cats and dogs. Pets ingesting saponins can experience gastrointestinal upset like stomach pain, vomiting, and diarrhea.
Uses
Perfect for growing in containers. Makes a breathtaking potted specimen plant. May be displayed outdoors in warmer weather.
