Features
One look at the foliage and there’s no question about how this plant got its common name. The deep green foliage with distinct white veins instantly brings to mind an image of a striped zebra! Makes an extraordinary display when in flower. The booms are actually small and inconspicuous; it is the flower bracts that turn golden-yellow to put on a show. Flowering occurs over a long period of 4-6 weeks. Zebra plants are native to tropical Brazil and can be used as garden plants in frost-free climates.
Uses
A great potted plant indoors and out. Grow in containers on a porch or patio during summer and then bring indoors for the winter, just before first frosts arrive. Makes a great natural centerpiece when in flower, and a wonderful easy-care gift plant.
