Ingredients:
4 cups apples, peeled and chopped
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/3 cup water
Topping:
1 cup flour
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup rolled oats
1/2 cup butter melted
Variation: Add 1/4 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375° F. Combine apples, sugar, flour and cinnamon together and place in a greased 8×8-inch dish. Add water over all.
For topping: combine all topping ingredients in a separate bowl and mix with a fork to make crumbly. Sprinkle over apple mixture and bake for 35 minutes or until apples are tender.
Enjoy with a dollop of ice cream!
